Imagine knowing joy, walking in joy, at such a level that bitterness, anger and hatred do not exist. With this in mind, who wouldn’t want that in their life? Who could possibly welcome bitterness without having something making it grow? How is there so many angry drivers on the road? When did children become so filled with hatred?
Above all we are prone to the whims of others. Likewise, our entire day can go sideways by a wrong tone of voice, a single misplaced word or something that accidently touches our skin. Humans will hand over their identity simply because another person doesn’t realize the damage they are causing. The false is put on like a favorite sweater and the truth is discarded.
Furthermore, living out true identity, not only takes courage, it is built upon faith. Ones life becomes this strange intermingled boldness presented in meekness and humility. How does this happen, what does a person do to accomplish this ideal?

Where To Start
What if nothing happens? Confess and forgive.
What this may look like… A person, at some point, says something like, “you’re a loser” or “you’re a terrible XX”. This immediately changes our view of ourselves. Additionally, our outlook begins to change based on a single encounter or a series of encounters that are all different, but somehow the same. When this happens we begin “handing over” our true identity and taking on the false identity.
Confess, to someone else, the pain in that place deep inside. Tell someone, write the words of pain but never allow it to continue once it has been revealed. Having seen the past we should stop revisiting it.
Surprisingly simple, it all starts with a question, then, seek the answer. People, movies/TV or just about anything will begin showing up in unusual ways. It will seem as if something is pulling you in a particular direction previously unknown. Follow the path as it unfolds. Ask another question, seek more answers. With this in mind, more people, movies/TV and a host of other situations will continue showing up. Continue following.
What Now
Humans are not that smart. We need models for everything. We need to compare a item to something else familiar in order to understand the new thing. Also, if we don’t have a model to follow, or point to, we begin making up our own narrative. This is the reason our society is a disaster.
Mothers are not Dads. Policemen are not counselors. Judges are not the jury. The United States is not a democracy, but rather a Constitutional Republic. People are not God. Celebrities are not role models. Athletes are not idols.
History is actually the solution, not the problem to our current state of affairs. Odds are, we didn’t realize there was a line to be crossed, but as soon as it is breached it is undeniable. Unless we hold onto history it will be erased forever.
When the models are removed, or destroyed, society is forced to make new ones. This can be an amazing world changing event or product. Life improves for everyone. Similarly, as we are witnessing, it can be a complete disaster. The great models of history are all being replaced with lies, falsehoods that will never stand the test of time.
Reaching The Next Level
For a broken bone we go to the doctor or a nurse. When our brain is out of balance we go a mental health professional. These people fix brokenness that impacts our life. It is not a question when this happens, it just happens and the entire world accepts it. Not one person questions it, ever.
Whom do we turn to for cancer? Obviously, a highly specialized doctor that has studied and treats cancer. Probably not to a pediatrist. Now the easy part.
What if a doctor shows up that’s not a doctor, but rather, a healer? How do we react when a person shows up in our life that is far more than their title? There’s something about them not associated with their zip code, social status or occupation. In fact, there’s something beyond sight, beyond hearing. We know this person has “broken the code” as there’s something different, but we can’t seem to understand.
When someone whose heart has aligned with their mind, sight is no longer part of their vision. We may be having this experience for the first time and are completely mystified by what we are experiencing. Not knowing what is happening we have no words for this new situation. In a very short period of time we come to accept what has happened as something perfectly normal. We know this person is something special but we neither treat them differently nor act differently in their presence. We may be happier during the time spent with them but outside that situation nothing is out of the ordinary. A new model has just been presented.
What Question
It might be this “new model” is ignored or it may be embraced. In fact, what usually happens is we begin compilating how this new thing fits in our life. Curiosity begins to invade and questions may arise. Of course, quiet possibly the greatest question ever ask goes something like – what will You have me to do? This is a new idea, a new concept for most. For this reason most will never seek guidance from others, especially, when the chips are down.
The challenge is this…seek guidance from others. Ask a very simple question, or two. What will You have me to do and tag it with, what will You have me to know? Wait. Watch what happens.
